Background on Cesvi:
Cesvi is a non-governmental, international humanitarian organization working for global solidarity in 30 countries throughout the world. Cesvi has been working in Western and Eastern Libya, with support from international donors and cooperating with local counterparts, since March 2011 in the following sectors: i) Protection related issues ii) humanitarian assistance iii) civil society support iv) refugees, asylum seekers and migrants program v) capacity building
Background on the project
The project “Life Saving Assistance to refugees and asylum seekers in Libya” funded by UNHCR, intends to promote a favorable protection environment for refugees, asylum seekers and irregular migrants in both Western and Eastern Libya through protection monitoring, provision of psychosocial assistance, and management of a Social Centre. Cesvi Outreach Monitoring Officer will work, in compliance with Cesvi policies and Code of Conduct, closely with Persons of Concern, mainly refugees, asylum seekers and their families. She will be in charge of conducting monitoring visits, assessing the protection situation of refugees, asylum seekers and irregular migrants in Tripoli and surrounding areas. The Outreach Officer will also be the focal point for community events.
Specific tasks and responsibilities:
Providing basic and specialised counselling to Project’s beneficiaries approaching the Social Centre;
Provision of focused support to Survivors through support group activities;
Liaising with Cesvi Team Leader, GBV Case Workers and other staff for Case Management activities;
Participating in regular meetings with partners and other relevant stakeholders;
Representing Cesvi in a professional manner in meetings and ensure effective cooperation with local partners and other relevant actors;
Respecting Cesvi’s Standard Operating Procedures and Code of Conduct for the Confidentiality and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment;
Participating in team meetings and trainings;
Observing and respecting GBV Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
Designing of individual holistic rehabilitation plans for Survivors, including follow-up sessions;
Carrying out collection of field data and supporting the Team Leader in the analysis of Data;
Supporting the Team Leader in drafting regular reports on the activities’ progress;
Hand over his/her tasks with a proper and accurate handover report at the end of contract;
Fulfilling any other additional task requested Team Leader and Project Manager.

Minimum requirements:
University degree in psychology, social work, social administration, social sciences, development studies, or a relevant field.
At least 1 year experience with UN or Non‐Governmental organizations
Experience in handling cases is an asset.
Trainings in child protection and/or GBV minimum standards and gender mainstreaming are an asset.
Good understanding of Protection Principles and Case Management standards
Good command of written and spoken English.
Good communication skills and ability to conduct training and awareness campaigns
Good computer skills especially Microsoft packages.
Good organizational and management skills.
Ability to work with minimum supervision
