Position: QHSE SUPERVISOR

JOB SUMMARY: Act as Company QHSE Representative on an oilfield project, assisting and advising Project Supervisors and Technicians on QHSE matters and works closely with client site representative to achieve high standard of safety during the project.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implement project HSE plans and enforces safe systems of work on the Project
• Advises and assists Project Supervisor in all QHSE-related matters
• Conducts Audits and Inspections on facilities/camps/kitchens
• Conducts risk assessment specific to activities performed on the project
• Maintains Project-related QHSE documentation and performance data
• Enforces Permit to Work procedures
• Ensures that all Corrective Action Requests raised on his site are addressed in a timely manner
• Draw up and implement Project Emergency site plans
• Schedules, communicates, and directs emergency drills at the Project site
• Carry out QHSE weekly/ Monthly and toolbox meetings
• Delivers induction and other HSEQ-related training
• Assists in the Reporting and investigation of incidents and near misses and participates in dissemination of lessons
• Carry out Project site and equipment inspections
• Performs gas-testing activities where necessary
• Enforces Journey Management and road transport safety standards
• Liaison with client site representative to maintain high standard of safety and quality on the project
• Attends and provides inputs in all project progress/safety meetings
• Collects and reports project monthly HSE KPI data
• Conduct any other QHSE-related activities, as directed by QHSE Manager
Relationships: The post holder will be accountable to the QHSE Manager and will have close working relationships with Project Supervisors, Leading QHSE Supervisors and other Project QHSE Officers.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Work Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HSEQ related positions on oil field services and/or Heavy Industry / Construction environment.
Experience in oil field start-ups/shut downs as well as knowledge of oilfield electrical and instrumentation systems preferred.
Education:
Higher Technical/vocational qualification. NEBOSH or equivalent qualification preferred.
Skills/Competencies:
Able to prepare technical reports
Knowledge and experience in conducting risk assessment
Knowledge and experience in conducting safety audits and emergency drills
Practical knowledge & experience in gas testing and use of SCBA Familiarity with safe systems of work and Permit-to-Work systems Good command of written and spoken English language Computer literate
Customer oriented Good interpersonal skills
Good planning, organizational and presentation skills
