Senior HVAC Technician - RIG ENERGY CONSULTANTS

RIG Energy is assisting an oilfield services contractor in recruiting a number of SENIOR HVAC TECHNICIANS to work on an Operations & Maintenance project located some 110 km off the Libyan coast.
The role reports to the Electrical Maintenance Unit Supervisor.

Job Description
The successful candidate shall carry out maintenance jobs on package units, split units, chiller units. The main duties will be:


Execute work orders for maintenance, repair and testing of HVAC equipment / systems and Instrument and control systems. This includes Chilled Water system and DX system, A/C Motor, AHUs and FCUs.
Ensure maintenance, repair and testing work done in compliance with applicable standards
Ensure work completed is documented and approved by the Supervisor/Maintenance Manager.
Assist in the maintenance of records and files of work in progress and work completed.
Assist in the completion of time sheets, material costs, repairs and activity reports.
Assist in the inventory of spares and material.
Participate in toolbox meetings and ensures compliance to HSE policies and procedures.
Report non-conformities and breakdown of HVAC equipment/systems and Instrument and control systems to Supervisor/Maintenance Manager immediately

Requirements


Profile ideally will have a Diploma/Certificate in air-conditioning/refrigeration systems, or equivalent from a reputable vocational Institute
Minimum 8 years hands on experience in offshore oil and gas industry
Experienced in overhauling open refrigerator compressors, actual work with binary refrigeration systems, interprets HVAC and P&IDs.
Knowledgeable in using various HVAC gauges and test devices and comparing related values with those reported in the HVAC technical documents and drawings
Knowledgeable in measurement instruments, etc. calibration of control valves, pneumatic transmitter, pressure switches and step controllers, and other similar functions.
Good interpersonal and organizational skills
Good level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and presentation skills in both written and verbal English
Valid BOSIET, H2S Training and Offshore Medical certificates
