Responsibilities &Tasks:
. • Design and administer the protection databases for IMC Libya’s program;
Provide information management services including data collection, collation, analysis and creating factsheets and dashboards;
Develop, maintain and continuously update existing and new data collection tools and activties, and information management products;
Communicate new tool releases to the field staff and collect feedback in coordination with program and M&E staff; • Ensure data-collection and existing tools are being used in compliance with humanitarian principles, the principle of protection of human subject and IMC’s data protection protocols;
Train the field staff on the newly developed data collection tools and the effective usage of the existing tools;
Support the protection teams in the management and analysis of programmatic data and achievements;
Ensure accurate inputs of data received from the field staff into database:
Ensure the data analysis through validation and data quality checks;
Extract data and information from narrative reports, sort them in the database and include them in the analysis;
Maintain trackers of operational achievement for protection activities (Excel/SQL)
Maintain protection dashboards for use by IMC staff to track protection needs, trends and developments in IMC’s areas of responsibilities;
Format collected data into required formats for our regular reports and dashboards;
Maintain and further develop the structure or format of the database as required, incorporating ideas and amendments from other departments;
Identify map information needs and sources in collaboration with the program team;
Collect geographical data for analysis and for creating maps, graphs and other products to support IMC’s protection activities; • Create and provide ad-hoc information analysis with tables and graphs to meet program needs in consultation with M&E department;
Conduct periodic analysis of protection activity data and noting trends, abnormalities, and matters of concern; • Support M&E and Protection and GBV Specialist in regular donor reporting inputs and maintenance of database submissions for future reference
Submit report contributions in a timely and orderly manner.
Any other information management tasks requested by the supervisor.
The applicant must have the following qualification:
ducation:
Bachelor’s degree in in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Statistics, or related technical field; Any Microsoft certifications in Access or SQL Server would be preferred
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of work experience in database design or database administration, data management and data analysis, and/or information management;
Previous experience of working with an NGO or INGO required,
Previous experience of using database tools such as MS Access and SQL Server is required i.e. enter data, update records and fields, modify database structure, generate customized reports
Some programming/coding experience in PHP/Python/R is preferred.
Previous experience in CommCare is preferred

Demonstrated Technical Skills:
Strong command of Excel for data manipulation and visualization
Understanding of relational database models
Reasonable command of SQL
Excellent visual design sense regarding clear and accurate presentation of data
Demonstrate capacity to learn and apply new technologies in relatively high paced nature
. • Demonstrate knowledge and good practice of data management and protection protocols
Ability to design the structure of the database and write appropriate interfaces (e.g. Microsoft Excel) for data entry and ensure data quality and security, highly preferred
Knowledge of SPSS, and ARC GIS is preferred
Demonstrated Managerial/Leadership Competencies:
Maturity and professional ability to handle sensitive information and ability to respect the confidentiality.
Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail;

Fluent in Arabic and English; both spoken and written required.
