Introduction
International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary, non-political, non-sectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility for rapid response to emergencies. International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.
 
Responsibilities &Tasks:
The Community Liaison Officer is responsible in ensuring proper communication with units throughout Libya whether GNA,
GNC or HOR affiliated concerning road movements to different location ensuring safe passage through Checkpoints by IMC Staff
and by Air, liaising with the Airport National Security, Immigration & Customs.
Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:

Liaise with GNA affiliated Groups in Tripoli regarding IMC activities.
Meeting International staff at the Airport with Invitation letter to deal with any issues that may arise.
Travel with International staff on site field visits outside of Tripoli i.e. Gharyan, Zintan, Misrata etc.
Liaise with Diplomatic Police when traveling to meet UN Agencies as they escort UN Armored vehicles.
Assist Security Manager – Libya with information gathering.
Perform other tasks assigned by Supervisor.
Support POC with issues concerning tripoli groups and Police in Tripoli.
Liaise with Program staff concerning distributions to the communities / POC’s.
Identify areas within the community for Distributions.
Assist with capacity building of SFP.

The applicant must have the following qualification:
 

English speaking reading and writing.
Excellent relationships with GNA affiliated militias.
Bsc degree.
Computer literate.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel…etc.

 
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Fluent in English and Arabic
