Key Responsibilities

Business Development: Marketing and Sales of Company products and services
Analytical Work: Shall have sound analytical background with minimum 5 (five) years of experience. Be able to evaluate performance of chemicals, carry out standard tests and procedures, screening of samples in the laboratory (knowledgeable of API, ASTM Testing Methods & Procedures). Be the focal point during field testing and trials of chemicals to identify performance / cost effective products and shall take lead for further optimization of chemical injection rates and ongoing product performance monitoring.
Lab Management : Responsible for managing inventory of all lab chemicals and reagents to ensure uninterrupted monitoring of all key field production systems, plants and processes (oil, gas, injection and produced water samples) by implementing safe analytical methods and work practices and in accordance with HSE recommendations and regulations.
Conduct analytical work that involves upstream/downstream fluid sampling using standard sampling procedures and QA/QC practices.
Participate in water injection studies, plant commissioning activities as well as of crude oil processing plants (sour &sweet).
Quality monitoring (QA/QC) of lubricants and insulating oil.
Possess good knowledge of computing analytical results, graphical trending of results and maintain database and filing system for reference and use.
Participate in the trouble shooting activities of non-performing or under- performing processes and equipment (heat ex changers, oil and gas separators, vacuum towers, chemical treatment units, produced water treatment units, process control systems etc.)


Experience:-

Minimum 5 years of work experience as Production Chemist/ Analyst in oil and gas industry (preferably in chemical processing plant, water treatment industry or operations, pilot facilities, tolling facilities, process design or similar).
Strong background in oil and gas production facilities with experience in some of the following will be of advantage;

Strong background in oil and gas production facilities with experience in some of the following will be of advantage;
o Upstream process across a substantial portion of the full facility

o Conventional onshore and offshore oil and gas processing facilities

o Sour oil and gas treatment plant

o Produced water treatment facility

o Associated utilities and safety systems

o Sound knowledge in selection and application of chemicals in upstream process areas listed above.

o Specialist in solving flow assurance problems associated with oil field scale deposits by identification, treatment and prevention.
