Engineer – Tripoli - Libya Transition Initiative (LTI) 3

The Libya Transition Initiative 3 is an international development program in Libya. The goal of LTI 3 is to establish and manage a quick-response mechanism supporting activities that provide essential services to the community and reinforce stability to help build an inclusive and peaceful future in Libya.
LTI 3 seeks the following positions to support its program in the Western Region, including Tripoli and surrounding areas. Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic are required for all positions.

Engineer
The Engineer will be primarily responsible for assisting with design, implementation plan development, vendor evaluation and project monitoring for a number of projects including light infrastructure and construction at public parks, sports centers, and any LTI3 infrastructure project locations. The Engineer will work directly with contractors and community partners to ensure the soundness of design, monitor and supervise construction progress. Specifically, the Engineer will support activity development and implementation by reviewing construction specifications and plans, writing technical scopes of work, reviewing proposals, providing input and oversight of construction subcontracts, and ensure overall quality and adherence to standards of construction projects.
Two years of construction management with increasing responsibility is required and a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as, civil engineering or mechanical engineering is strongly preferred.
