Responsibilities &Tasks:
Being the focal point for all the monitoring activities in the detention centers and the sea at rescue disembarkation points;
Coordinating and supervising all the field activities in the detention centers and the sea at rescue disembarkation points;
Conducting monitoring visits in the detention centers according to the defined Standard Operating Procedures and security measures;
Supporting the rescue at sea missions in the disembarkation points, assisting to the registration of the beneficiaries and distribution of the needed response kits;
Distribution of hygiene kits, non-food items kits and any other needed items in the detention centers and the rescue at sea disembarkation points;
Gathering routine data and conducting assessments in the detention centers about the conditions of the detention centers and the detainees;
Filing existing data collection tools and those that may be designed by the Project Manager and M&E Manger;
Compiling the data gathered by the protection monitoring officers, ensuring its accuracy and reporting it to the Project Manager;
Designing and reviewing the material for the information and awareness raising sessions in the detention centers and rescue at sea disembarkation points;
Establishing and maintaining networks with the officials working in the detention centers and Disembarkation points covered by the activities;
Responsible for the referrals of all vulnerable beneficiaries in the detention centers;
Establishing and maintaining networks with UNHCR, NGOs and INGOs’ field staff conducting similar activities and/or covering the same facilities;
Responsible for all individual case management procedures;
Ensuring a daily update and an immediate report to the Project Manager on the situation of the protection in the detention facilities and rescue at sea operations and on developments that have an impact on the protection environment for persons of concern;
Keeping the Project Manager up to date and informed about the queries and requests made by IMC staff, officials and other stakeholders involved in the humanitarian field in a timely manner;

.The applicant must have the following qualification:
Bachelor degree of degree in humanitarian affairs or other relevant studies is preferred;
At least 2 year-experience in NGOs;
Work experience in migrants Detention Centers is preferred
Fluency in written English and spoken Arabic is essential to the post;
Good knowledge of French is an
Excellent communication and writing skills;
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills;
Ability to form and implement systems and procedures and ensure their adherence;
Proven computer literacy skills;
Ability to work under difficult working and living conditions;
Ability and willingness to work and travel throughout a remote area;
Ability to successfully and professionally work with a broad spectrum of people;
Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently;
Must be a self-motivated and proactive
