ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Based on assessment report, work with the Program Manager to outline a work plan for proposed interventions
Coach staff & create smooth working environment in all levels of the project area.
Organize regular evaluation meetings of team members
Organize monthly meetings with the team and report outcomes to PM.
Ensure that lessons and best practices derived through implementation of project are well articulated and documented.
Compile monthly WASH statistics and activity report and submit to MEAL department for HQ & donor.
Report and communicate the progress and achievement of specific assigned objectives as per the project work plan and
finalize reports with concerned institutions.
Provide written feedback when and if there is need to alter the project as appropriate to maximize impact.
In cooperation with the program manager, Develop Terms of Reference (TOR) and other guidelines for selection of
contractor(s) that will undertake proposed activities.
Oversee quality of contractor’s WASH rehabilitation activities.
Plan and manage the WASH program in a phased and prioritized manner with full consultation and co- ordination with
International Medical Corps’ staff and other agencies, both governmental and non- governmental.
Organize with the logistics and finance departments materials and support needed for all activities and follow-up on
WASH budgets and expenditures.
In collaboration with relevant staff, contribute to development and design of appropriate supervisory, monitoring and
evaluation systems for WASH interventions.
Provide regular updates to supervisor and team on progress, priorities and constraints both verbally and in writing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate degree from an accredited university with a specialty in social sciences or a related field.
Previous experience in project design, evaluation and implementation within the international development field.
Previous experience in the humanitarian field.
Experience of donor liaison and donor compliance regulations.
Knowledge of project cycle management.
Outstanding organizations skills.
Strong team building, relationship building and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines. Proven ability to work and manage time independently and professionally.
