Hierarchy: Reports to Management
Main Functions
−To carry out high quality inspections ensuring various lifting equipment (MEWPS, HIAB, Cranes, FLTs) is compliant with current regulatory and statutory requirements (LOLER & PUWER).
−Uses Industrial Rope Access methods and related equipment to access and complete a wide variety of inspection, maintenance, repairs and other industrial work tasks on cranes and structurers
−You will operate within agreed authorities, inspection and H&S standards with a clear customer focus and drive to achieve optimal service delivery.
−You will be working in a busy and varied client facing environment and will be expected to be customer focused and professional at all times.
−You will produce and deliver inspection reports using the clients best in class tools for on-site reporting and immediate client access
−To keep abreast of changes in relevant standards and legislation, acting as an advisor to high-profile clients
−To deliver customer excellence, operating in the professional, friendly and authoritative manner expected of all client-facing surveyors
Person Specification
−Minimum NVQ3, HNC, HND or equivalent mechanical engineering qualification
−Minimum 5-10 years relevant industry experience working with cranes, lifting equipment, material handling equipment, mobile platforms, scissor lifts etc
−LEEA Inspector Certified.
−IRATA Level 3 certification
−Certified Rigging and Life Saving Appliances inspector
−Must have a capacity for work at height
−Fluent both in spoken and written English
−Proven technical knowledge of lifting equipment
−Excellent customer service manner, with strong listening and interpersonal skills
−Ability to build lasting relationships with client
 
Additional Training provided by Company
−Renew any expired Certificate.
−OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 Certification.
−Basic Fire fitting.
−H2S awareness.
−BOSIET Training or Equivalent (OPITO approved)
