Medical Representative - Aldawlia for Pharmaceutical & Medical Equipment



Medical Representative Job Description
A medical representative’s job is to promote and sell their company’s products, whether that’s pharmaceutical drugs or medical equipment. Customers can include doctors, nurses and pharmacists. The medical representative will increase product awareness, answer queries, provide advice and introduce new products.
Key responsibilities include:

Organizing appointments and meetings with community- and hospital-based healthcare staff
Identifying and establishing new business
Negotiating contracts
Demonstrating or presenting products to healthcare staff including doctors, nurses and pharmacists
Undertaking relevant research
Meeting both the business and scientific needs of healthcare professionals
Maintaining detailed records
Attending and organizing trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings
Writing reports and other documents
Selling the company’s medications to doctors, pharmacists, and other relevant healthcare professionals.
Scheduling appointments with doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to promote company medications.
Developing an in-depth understanding of company medications.
Building and maintaining good business relationships with customers to encourage repeat purchases.
Following up on leads generated by the company.
Preparing presentations for potential customers.
Researching competitor’s medications and their respective market performances.
Keeping abreast of new developments in the medical field to determine the effect of such developments on the company’s business strategies.
Arranging appointments with doctors, pharmacists and hospital medical teams, which may include pre-arranged appointments or regular ‘cold’ calling
Making presentations to doctors, practice staff and nurses in GP surgeries, hospital doctors and pharmacists in the retail sector
Organize conferences for doctors and other medical staff
Build and maintain positive working relationships with medical staff and support administrative staff
Winning new customers, as well as developing long-term relationships with existing ones
planning work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables with the area sales team or discuss future targets with the area Sales Manager
Regularly attending company meetings, technical data presentations and briefings
Keeping up to date with the latest clinical data supplied by the company, and interpret, present and discuss this data with health professionals during presentations
Analyzing sales data to improve results and make sure resources are effectively allocated
Monitoring competitor activity and competitors’ products
Keeping up to date with new developments in the Ministry of Health legislations, anticipate potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapt strategy accordingly
Developing strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the medical and healthcare sector
Staying informed about the activities of health services in a particular area.

Job Requirements
Relevant qualification in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, nursing or dentistry.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field.
Proven medical sales experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Effective communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Persuasive and resilient.
