We are currently looking for: Community mobilizer position
Job Description
The Community mobilizer is responsible for social and community mobilization in targeted locations, and supporting the networking and coordination with stakeholders at community level
Objective 1: Program implementation
- Together with the local authorities, community representatives and relevant stakeholders, facilitate the mobilization of communities towards AAH programming
- Sensitize community about AAH project activities and AAH objectives as humanitarian organization
- Conduct meetings and follow up sessions in targeted communities, to favour an early identification of issues and challenges
- Ensure age and gender diversified participation of community members in meetings
- Assist in organizing and conducting planned project activities at community level
- Ensure documentation of all related activities (beneficiary lists, etc)
- Participate in project related meetings/trainings/workshops etc
- Ensure complete and advanced preparation of materials to be used in planned activities
Objective 2 : Networking and partnering
- Serve as community organizer and mobilizer in assigned areas and responsbile for facilitating understanding and acceptance of activitvites by relevant stakeholders
- Sustain and enhance local partnerships in line with AAH project objectives, including governmental and civil society organizations
Job Requirements

Qualifications,Degree
- Lower high School certificate or equivalent professional experience
Professional Experience
- Minimum 6 months of experience in humanitarian related field, preferably with INGO, or in social sector/volunteer
General Skills
- Capacity to communicate with people – Good team spirit
- Good knowledge of the area and local customs
- Organizational qualities, autonomy and dynamism
- Sensitivity towards protection and confidentiality issues;
Specific/technical Skills
- Knowledge of the issues of humanitarian crises
Managerial Skills
- Able to adopt an organized and methodological approach
Language Skills
- Fluent Arabic
- English is an asset
IT Skills
- Intermediate level MS office (Word, Excel, PPT & Outlook)
