Medical Warehouse Quality Assurance Officer - The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC),Libya

The ICRC Delegation in Libya  seeks to fill the following position:

Medical Warehouse Quality Assurance Officer

The position is based in Misurata

Under the supervision of the Log Co and Regional Pharmacist is responsible to support implementation of defined medical Quality Assurance tasks or specific procedures or instructions related to medical warehouse activities in order to maintain compliance with the WHO Good Storage and Distribution Practices. S/he is also responsible for the Quality Control of incoming medical goods.

MAIN TASKS

• Closely supervises physical inspections of purchased and received medical items, files complaints if needed, keeps up to date the collected samples for reference
  
• Support WH personnel in creating Supplier Complaints, filing Deviations, participate to investigation on deviations (including inventory discrepancies) and customer complaints and support the identification of CAPAs and their implementation
  
• Facilitates continuous compliance of the medical warehouse with WHO GSDP, and in particular related to: risk of mix-ups, segregation of items requiring specific management (narcotics, hazardous etc) & environmental controls (temperature routine monitoring, cleaning, pest control…)
  
• Prepare periodic quality reports related to warehouse activities, including temperature routine monitoring, cleaning, pest control, deviations, complaints… and all quality information needed for the pharmacist 2 to prepare the annual quality review
  
• Ensure that outsourced activities schedules are respected (e,g; maintenance & calibration of equipments, pest control etc..)
  
• Support management of controlled drugs activities in the warehouse and disposal of medical products
  
• Ensures the timely archiving of specific information (e.g. temperature data, cold chain breakdown.)
  
• Facilitate and or provide relevant trainings for warehouse personel
  

REQUIRED PROFILE

A successful candidate will:

• University degree or high level technical degree (graduate level) specialization in Quality Mangement System Pharmacist technician certificate, Pharmacy degree
  
• 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical/medical distribution facility/company
  

successful candidate may also:

• experience as Quality Officer/Controller in pharmaceutical warehouse is an asset
