About the job:
The Humanitarian Mine Action Team Member is responsible for conducting all reasonable activities within his/her respective team to which he/she has been trained and assigned by his manager and assisting in all aspects related to mine action in the Libyan context to fully support DRC/DDG’s mine action operations per the DRC/ DDG Standard Operating Procedures as well as national and international standards and guidelines, In doing so the Humanitarian Mine Action Team Member observes all safety standards applicable. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
• Conducting all reasonable humanitarian mine action activities within your respective team to which have been trained and assigned by the line manager.
• Ensuring that all equipment issued to him/her is well maintained, and used in accordance with technical instructions received during training.
• Support the other HMA teams to conduct other reasonable tasks as directed by your manager.
• Ensure high standards of discipline and conduct are adhered to.
• Working with a team spirit and being respectful to all managers and, and fellow Operators.
• Carrying out any other operational/administrative duties as directed to meet operational requirements
About you:
To be successful in this role we expect you to:
• To work in the field which required to be in a state of good physical and psychological condition.
• To follow the orders of your respective line managers and Team lead.
• To fit into a team and to respect the team members.
Required:
1. Vocational school. Higher education
2. Libyan National.
3. Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English.
4. Mentally and physically fit
5. Mine action background and an understanding of INGO terminology and processes
6. IT skills; Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
7. Valid travel documents and availability to travel outside of Libya.
8. driving license
Desirable
• Internationally Recognized mine action training.
• Other relevant qualifications or training courses.
• Experience in working with Mine Action Organization for a minimum of 2 years in Libya or outside Libya.
• Experience and qualification in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)
